About The Role
The Role and What You'll Do
The Account Manager in our Speaker Logistics and Event Management department will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day management of Speaking engagements, serving as the liaison between Speaker’s office and organizations. The Account Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating all event details and travel associated with the execution of the Speaker’s appearance leading up to and at the time of the event. This role also serves as support for our Vetting and Research Department working on strategic research for engagements.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of a speakers’ event, including interfacing with the Speaker’s office, the hosting organization, other account team members, and appropriate agency departments to support the engagement.
- Manage relationships with the Speaker’s office and develop a strong knowledge of their guidelines and protocols.
- Work directly with and strategically manage the hosting organization contacts in the development and implementation of all event requirements related to the Speaker’s participation.
- Develop and follow project timelines for all event deliverables from the point of Speaker’s acceptance of the engagement up until the event date.
- Manage the approvals process on behalf of the Speaker’s office, for all event logistics related items, marketing/announcement materials, content and questions for the conversation and the required information for any special VIP components
- Interface and coordinate with internal teams across various processes leading up to the event execution and afterwards; including accounting and contracts.
- Track and compile relevant travel expenses in coordination with vendors, Speaker teams and internal accounting.
- Provide thorough briefing materials for Speaker’s office before every event
- Interact with and provide day-to-day communication and updates for both speaker’s office and hosting organization.
- Understand and communicate the implementation of contractual terms.
- Provide and incorporate general insight and industry best practices.
- Facilitate smooth communication and teamwork within multicultural teams.
- Provide internal post-event recaps and briefings.
- Assist with research on event elements for Speaker’s offices.
- Given the nature of live events and travel, work hours will extend beyond traditional office hours during high volume periods. Responses, or a confirmed response plan with other colleagues, during weekends or evenings is required as appropriate.
You Have These
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4-6 years client-based servicing and/or events management experience. Specific disciplines could include political advance and scheduling, general event logistics, travel coordination, executive support for high level VIPs, and communications management.
- Direct experience staffing high level VIPs (former or current elected officials, celebrities or sports talent) in some capacity is preferred.
- Ability to manage day-to-day relationships with clients, agency and vendors.
- Experience with on-site event marketing operations and logistics.
- Experience working with internal teams (accounting/business affairs) as well as other agency partners.
- Superior client relationship/service skills.

- Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of Social Media platforms is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and other video conference platforms.
- Research experience and familiarity with research and vetting tools preferred.
- A positive, problem-solving attitude and ability to respond to time-sensitive situations with ease.

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
Hiring Rate Minimum
$67,500 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds)
Hiring Rate Maximum
$90,000 annually
