Software Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain features for a large-scale consumer platform used by millions of people worldwide. You'll work across the stack with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship reliable, well-tested code. You'll also help improve the systems that keep the product fast and dependable.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and ship features across front-end and back-end services
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews
Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to turn requirements into technical solutions
Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and help strengthen monitoring and alerting
Contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge across the team

Qualifications

Required
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, or Go
Experience building and operating web services or distributed systems at scale
Solid grasp of testing, code review, and continuous integration and deployment practices
Clear communication and strong cross-team collaboration
Preferred
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or similar) and containerized services
Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks
Background in consumer-facing, marketplace, or travel products
Key Details
Start Date: Flexible
Duration: Long-term contract (length to be confirmed)
Location: Remote (within the U.S.)
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $85-$94/hour
Employment Type: W-2 (no C2C or 1099)
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
