Job DescriptionSanitation OperatorKraft Heinz Company Mason City, IAThe Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Sanitation Operator to work at our Mason City, Iowa, production facility. This role is an important part of keeping the facility clean, safe, and running smoothly while supporting food safety and daily operations.What You Bring Must be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalentAble to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work 12-hour 4x4 rotating schedule that included days, nights, weekends and holidays and overtime as needed.Preferred QualificationsPrevious food manufacturing, sanitation, janitorial, or production experienceKnowledge of GMPs and food safety practices preferredAble to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to safely operate floor scrubbers and other sanitation equipment after trainingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to food safetyBenefits and Compensation Overview: Starting pay $18.00/hr.Eligible for overtime compensation3 weeks (120 hours) of PTO (Paid Time Off)Medical, Dental, Vision – we offer a variety of benefit plans to choose from401(k) (HRA) Health Reimbursement Account or (HSA) Health Savings Account Also: Company paid Life Insurance, Company paid Short-term Disability, (EAP) Employee Assistance Program, and Pet InsuranceJob Overview:This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and GMP-compliant food production facility. The role supports food safety and daily operations through sanitation, cleaning, waste management, supply stocking, equipment operation, and reporting issues that could affect safety, quality, or compliance.Responsibilities & DutiesComplete assigned sanitation and cleaning tasks in production and non-production areasClean and sanitize floors, drains, sinks, equipment surfaces, and other designated areasPerform scheduled sanitation work and follow established sanitation, GMP, and food safety proceduresOperate approved sanitation equipment safely and correctlyStock and restock sanitation and GMP supplies throughout the facilityRemove trash and waste and help maintain clean interior and exterior facility areasReport equipment, safety, pest, or facility concerns to the SupervisorSupport deep cleaning, shutdown sanitation, break relief, and other assigned dutiesKraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer that prohibits discrimination or harassment of any type.
