About The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Junior Business Analyst to join CMC Markets’ technology team, focusing on pricing and risk applications. Working in an agile environment, you’ll translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and testable solutions, connecting product, development, quantitative, dealing and vendor teams from gap analysis through to delivery.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the product, business analysis and development teams to analyse,collateand produce business requirements, including gap analysis on a range of project and product initiatives.

With a strong emphasis on pricing/risk front office application development,the role will berequiredto communicate effectively among software developers, quantitative analysts, dealing desks, other stakeholders in the company and external vendors.

In an agile framework, the role will need to capture business requirements, produce software requirement specifications, and scope out testing requirements, which are suitable for iterative developments.

Once features are in development, the role will berequiredtohelp support the management ofthe development life cycle. This involvesassistingthe lead BA on themonitoringof the development team, trackinguserstorystatusandfeeding into theproject/iteration plans, asrequired.

The role willbe responsible formaintaininghigh-quality documentation on the developed features of a system, which will serve as a basis for risk assessment and for auditing purpose.

The role may require the abilityto convey to the business and product teamsthe impact of suggested changesto helpdeterminethe impact and deliverytimeframes.

Support user-training activitiesand related documentation.

Keep the Lead Business Analyst aware of any escalations,issues,and ad-hoc changesas soon as they arise and seekassistanceand guidance where necessary so that project risks can be mitigated as early as possible.

Provide support to other members of the Business Analysiscommunityandcollaborateto achievethe CMC Groupsbusinessobjectives.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

FinancialServicesbackground is essential. Knowledge of FX Spot trading and Exchange Traded Products and related platforms for Equities, Futures and Options is highlyadvantageous. Understanding of Spread betting and/or CFD trading is beneficial.

Strongcommercial experience as a Business Analyst embedded in a technology team.

Experience of conductingand supportingtestactivitiesadvantageous.

Proven experience of applying Agile software development methodologies is essential.

Good working knowledge of the following software is essential: Jira, Confluence, Miro and Excel, and SQLadvantageous.

Experience using AI tools to support analysisadvantageous.

Team player with the ability to work independently as well as supporting the Lead BA.

Strong problem-solving skills arerequiredand theability totakeownership ofsmalltasks.

- Ability to produce detailed business requirements, configuration management, specifications,Epics andUserStories to the highest standard is essential.
