Verizon is in the process of modernizing our core networks to enable new, ground-breaking products and technologies. We are looking for Network Project Engineers (internally known as Centre Engineers) within our Global Network Organization in the Voice and Video team to help us lead the charge.

In this position, you will be responsible for Project Engineering and Vendor Management for various build initiatives across multiple networks.

You will engineer and manage multiple simultaneous projects. The position requires involvement throughout the life cycle of a build, in particular to proactively resolve technical issues as they present themselves during the duration of the project.

Engineering details will include but not be limited to project-specific installation instructions, engineering database (ICON, CCP) updates, equipment configurations, card/port assignments/requirements, power mapping, cable running lists, floor space and rack placement, and a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM).

What you’ll be doing

-

Managing end-to-end project logistics, including schedule keeping, vendor tracking, and material tracking for various build initiatives.

Handling budgeting, financial management, and procurement, which includes creating required Shopping Carts, Telephone Equipment Orders (TEOs), and Project Supplements.

Acting as the holistic communicator between technical teams (like Design Engineering) and third-party vendors to ensure clear project alignment.

Identifying, monitoring, and resolving technical and logistical issues proactively in advance to keep projects one step ahead.

Overseeing ordering for CoLo site projects and maintaining strong vendor relationships, including pricing compliance and quality reviews.

Managing multiple Capacity Creation Requests for hardware deployments, reconfigurations, and decommissions.

You are a highly organized, self-directed professional who excels at "spinning plates" and proactively solving problems before they impact a project. You have a passion for networks, logistics, budget management, and coordinating multi-functional teams.

You’ll need to have

• A bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• -
• Demonstrated skills and experience in scheduling, logistics, and vendor tracking, ideally in the telecommunications sector.

• Experience with financial budgeting, accounting, or procurement.
• -
• Experience with telecommunications networks, ideally unified communications platforms (voice and video).
