About The Role

Join Chowbus, a rapidly growing technology company in the food delivery industry, as the Director of Sales Strategy. In this highly strategic, cross-functional role, you will shape and execute the company's sales and commercial strategy, drive product growth and pricing initiatives, conduct market and competitive intelligence research, and lead sales enablement efforts. You will work closely with senior leadership and various teams across the organization to identify growth opportunities and translate strategy into actionable plans. This position requires a strong understanding of B2B sales, complex products, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth. Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required.

  • Develop and execute Chowbus’ Sales and Commercial Strategy in partnership with senior leadership, translating company goals into strategic priorities and actionable initiatives.
  • Lead strategic initiatives focused on product growth and commercialization, evaluating market demand, customer needs, competitive positioning, and revenue potential across products.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities, translating market insights into actionable recommendations for Sales, Product, and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales and complex products or customer segments
  • Proven experience developing strategies that drive revenue growth, product growth, market expansion, or sales effectiveness
  • 6+ years of experience in Sales Strategy, Commercial Strategy, Business Strategy, Growth Strategy, Management Consulting, or a related strategic function, preferably within a high-growth technology or SaaS company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex business problems into clear recommendations
  • Experience in SaaS, POS, payments, restaurant technology, marketplace, or other B2B technology businesses is highly preferred
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5-7 days per month for market visits, customer meetings, competitive research, partner meetings, and strategic initiatives
  • Experience with pricing, product commercialization, or go-to-market strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to independently frame ambiguous business problems, analyze incomplete or complex data, develop strategic recommendations, and influence senior stakeholders to act on those recommendations
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required
  • Comfortable working in both strategic and hands-on environments
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect product, pricing, market, sales, and revenue
