Software Engineer Intern 2026/2027

Join Arista Networks as a Software Engineer Intern for the 2026/2027 academic year. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge technology at the hardware/software boundary, implementing communications protocols, updating hardware forwarding states, and developing configuration management services. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

• Writing Linux user space and kernel code to enable 32-bit drivers to DMA 64-bit virtual memory spaces.
• Implementing communications protocols between routers and switches at layer 2 and layer 3, and updating the forwarding state of the hardware.
• Developing routing protocol agents (for BGP, OSPF, ISIS) in C/C++ within a Fedora Linux embedded environment.
