About the Role
The Payroll & Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing while driving statutory and labour law compliance across all abcoffee stores and corporate offices. This role owns payroll operations, employee statutory benefits, labour compliance, contractor compliance, audits, and regulatory documentation
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll.
- Validate attendance, leave, incentives, overtime and deductions.
- Process salary revisions, promotions, confirmations and transfers.
- Ensure timely salary disbursement.
- Generate salary slips and payroll reports.
- Process Full & Final Settlements.
- Coordinate payroll reconciliation with Finance.
- Resolve payroll queries.
Statutory Compliance
- Manage EPF, ESIC, PT, LWF, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus, Maternity Benefit, Payment of Wages and Minimum Wages compliance.
- Ensure compliance under Shops & Establishments Act, Labour Codes and applicable state laws.
Contractor & Vendor Compliance
- Verify contractor statutory compliance and maintain trackers.
- Conduct compliance audits.
Government Registrations & Licences
- Maintain and renew statutory registrations and licences.
Audit & Documentation
- Maintain statutory registers and support audits.
HR Operations Support
- Support onboarding documentation, employee master data and HRIS accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, HR, Finance or Business Administration. Payroll certification preferred.
Experience
3–6 years of payroll and labour compliance experience, preferably in retail/QSR/hospitality with multi-location operations.
