Accountant

The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial and management reporting, monitoring general ledger activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.

The role involves working closely with the Finance team, management, auditors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with SAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting strict reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with SLFRS.

• Assist in the preparation and finalisation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
• -
• Prepare and provide accurate Management Information (MI) and financial analysis as required.
• -
• Monitor and review monthly General Ledger (GL) entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• -
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and oversee the RFID/asset tagging process.
• -
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide the required information and supporting documentation.
• -
• Ensure adherence to applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• -
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements to finance processes and internal controls.
• -
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• -
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

-

2–3 years of relevant experience in the preparation and finalisation of financial and management accounts.

Part-qualified in ICASL (following the final level) or possess a degree from a recognised university.

Hands-on experience in SAP is essential.

Sound knowledge of SLFRS and financial reporting.

Good understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Fully qualified / Passed Finalist in ICASL is mandatory.
