Head of Technical Maintenance for Obertauern Destination

Year-round employment Monthly salary €5,300.00 gross Payment of 13th and 14th salary Opportunities for further education and professional and personal development Accommodation and hot meals provided Excellent career development opportunities Access to educational materials 24/7 Family Friends discounts on accommodation in Valamar hotels or campsites from Dubrovnik to Istria, as well as skiing in Austria 30% discount on food and beverages at Valamar restaurants and bars REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Highschool education in a technical field (electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.); additional technical qualifications are an advantage 5 years of work experience 2 years of experience managing a maintenance department Proficiency in using computers and business applications Excellent knowledge of German and English (C1/C2 level); knowledge of Croatian is an advantage Good knowledge of hotel technical systems (electrical installations, heating, ventilation, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, waste management, etc.) Excellent communication and leadership skills Result-oriented and team-oriented approach Proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills Good understanding of relevant Austrian legal regulations Category B driving licence KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Managing the maintenance department processes for all hotels in the Obertauern destination in accordance with business objectives (KPIs, quality, etc.) Preparing and implementing the maintenance plan for all three properties, including fulfilling all legal obligations, monitoring and controlling costs Responsibility for employee onboarding and internal training Cooperating with hotel directors and Valamar's central departments in implementing corporate procedures and tasks Cooperating and communicating with suppliers, service providers and contractors Responsibility for fulfilling all legal obligations related to technical management Responsibility for implementing and applying occupational health and safety measures within the department
