A seasoned professional with demonstrated technical expertise aligned to professional accreditation standards. Independently leads the design, planning, management and delivery of architectural projects, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance. Delivers high-quality, client-focused technical solutions across GHD's sectors, including transport, water, property & buildings, energy, and environment. Contributes to feasibility studies, risk analysis, and pricing, ensuring compliance and technical accuracy. Supports the technical development of the team, builds commercial awareness, strengthens client relationships through consistent delivery and leadership, and contributes to winning work through client engagement and involvement in bids and tenders.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design: Design architectural solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design brief (e.g., in terms of functionality, aesthetics, and cost) that conforms to organizational and/or regulatory standards.
  • Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis: Conduct complex feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on bid solicitation, including request for proposal (RFP) and request for tender (RFT) project requirements, and write specifications for tenders.
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) System: Supervise the installation, operations, and maintenance of a building information modeling (BIM) system. Make sure that systems are maintained and periodically upgraded. Coordinate building- and construction-related measurements. Review and endorse data, records, and base maps for future use.
  • Building Surveys: Undertake building and technical surveys to determine the building condition and identify defects and associated risks. Includes conducting a wide range of surveys on complex sites.
  • Client & Customer Management (External): Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
  • Construction Advice: Provide specialist professional advice relating to construction regulations and best practice with regard to complex maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings.
  • Engineering Drawings: Create complex engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
