Compliance with the standard for tidiness and cleanness.

Assume the safety role as per station bill and emergency preparedness plan.

All relevant governing documents are adhered to by direct reports.

All relevant governing documents are revised as and when required.

That clear daily guidelines are provided to all direct reports.

Visible leadership by spending time in the field and monitoring daily operations.

Operational progress is reported to the Rig Manager and OIM as required.

Required logbooks are maintained and updated as per requirements.

Active participation in meeting activities.

Subordinates are trained to fill higher positions.

Other duties are performed as required and/or directed by his/her direct supervisor.

Assist TSL in controlling rig and vessel maintenance to ensure the safety of the crew, vessel and protection;

Assist TSL and OIM regarding rig compliance with Class, Flag State and regulatory body equipment condition and maintenance requirements;
Hold daily operations meetings with maintenance supervisory personnel to discuss the overall maintenance activity of the vessel;
Provide leadership and direction to ensure that the functions of all departments are effectively managed and coordinated;
Maintain discipline and manage conflict resolution in all matters affecting maintenance personnel onboard;
Oversee and organize the activities of maintenance departments and ensure company / rig specific procedures are understood and followed by all maintenance personnel onboard;
Monitor rig maintenance activities. Investigate and report all incidents, abnormal situations and potential hazards to the TSL;
Actively engage in, lead and facilitate weekly safety meetings;
Ensure subordinates understand and adhere to requirements of the Company QHSE manual and rig specific procedures;
Ensure that drills and exercises are conducted in accordance with Company and Flag State regulatory requirements and coastal state requirements;
Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed by Seadrill (5-point check, STAR cards,

PTW etc.);

Ensure the emergency response plan for the rig is understood by all maintenance personnel onboard;
Complete respective training requirements in a timely manner as per agreed training program;
Ensure Supervisors under his leadership mentor, develop and train crew members to ensure they are competent to work in their current job positions and where appropriate coached and prepared for the next position;
Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates. Recommend promotion, development or disciplinary action;
Oversee all onboard equipment and systems operation including the application of the Company’s;
preventative maintenance system
Plan operations with the Marine department related to rig moves, mooring, station keeping and stability;
Jointly review the results of pressure tests along with DSL and Subsea Supervisor to ensure the BOP

is maintained and ready for use;

Review and update the safety case in consultation with rig and shore-based management;
Ensure pre-job meetings are performed according to specific standards;
Ensure housekeeping is maintained as per red policy and procedure;
Support safety initiatives generated onshore for offshore personnel;
Ensure inventory is maintained at necessary levels to support the rig operations;
Prepare and submit the rig’s annual maintenance budget for approval;
Responsible for budgetary control of department;
Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed by Seadrill (5-point check, STAR cards,

PTW etc.);

Perform all emergency duties as per designation on the station bill and applicable emergency response plans;
Comply with the training matrix for the position;
Comply with the Competence Assurance Program in a timely manner as per Seadrill requirement;
Review and, as required, perform all safety control duties as per rig´s specific HSE Case, Safety Case, HAZOP and TBRA´s;
Review and, as required, perform all duties related to safety controls among all tasks performed by himself and or working group;
Perform, respecting any applicable license limitation and under supervision, similar responsibilities as Technical Section Leader or onshore Technical Supervisor for training, qualification and temporary coverage purposes;
Perform, if required, the same duties as of the Engine Room Operator;
Keep up own certification and medical certificates up to date;
Lead incident investigations on board;
Ensure familiarity and perform operations with power management / vessel management system;
Ensure familiarity and perform operations with fire and gas monitoring and response system;
Ensure Class, Port, Flag and Government authorities are properly received and respective audits are carried on a professional manner, following the highest standards from Seadrill;
Relief Assistant Technical Section Leader or Engine Room Operator in performing dynamic positioning, navigation and / or watchkeeping operations.
