Environmental, Health & Safety Officer

About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Seri Iskandar. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs that protect our employees, contractors, and the environment. You will work collaboratively across all departments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and foster a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and programs aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify potential safety concerns and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Maintain accurate and organized EHS documentation, records, and reports required for compliance and auditing purposes
- Provide safety training and onboarding to employees, contractors, and new hires on relevant health and safety protocols
- Coordinate and conduct safety audits and internal compliance reviews to ensure adherence to established standards
- Analyze safety data and performance metrics to identify trends and develop targeted improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with management, employees, and external stakeholders regarding EHS matters and compliance status
- Stay current with changes in environmental, health, and safety regulations and ensure organizational compliance
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety considerations into operational planning and decision-making processes
- Proven experience in environmental, health, and safety program management or a related compliance role
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards (such as ISO 45001), and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and incident investigations
- Proficiency in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret safety data and identify improvement opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in using EHS management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations and sustainability practices (preferred)
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or similar operational environments (preferred)
- Familiarity with local Malaysian health and safety regulations and requirements (preferred)
