We are seeking an exceptional Rooms Control Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience from arrival to departure while contributing to the continued success of this landmark property.
About the Role
The Rooms Control Manager is a key operational leader within the Front Office function, responsible for directing and working alongside managers and associates to ensure a seamless, efficient and personalised check-in and check-out experience for every guest.
This role combines operational leadership, commercial awareness and guest engagement to maximise guest satisfaction, optimise room inventory and drive departmental performance. You will oversee daily Rooms Control and Front Desk operations, ensuring service excellence, strong team engagement and full alignment with Marriott brand standards.
Working closely with Front Office leadership and cross-functional hotel teams, you will help create memorable guest experiences while supporting occupancy, revenue objectives and overall hotel performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day Rooms Control and Front Desk operation, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Manage room allocation strategies, arrivals, departures and inventory controls to maximise occupancy and revenue opportunities.
- Drive guest satisfaction by proactively resolving concerns, handling complex requests and ensuring personalised service experiences.
- Supervise staffing levels and operational workflows to support guest expectations, business demands and financial objectives.
- Champion Marriott's guest recognition programmes and premium service standards throughout the guest journey.
- Support, coach and develop Front Office associates, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement initiatives that enhance productivity, service quality and commercial results.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Housekeeping, Revenue Management, Sales, Reservations and Guest Services to ensure seamless hotel operations.

- Experience within Front Office, Rooms Control, Guest Services or a related hospitality environment.
- A guest-centric mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Strong leadership, coaching and team development capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of occupancy management, room revenue and operational performance.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to remain composed and effective in a high-volume luxury hotel environment.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent qualification with a minimum of one year's experience in Guest Services, Front Desk operations or a related professional area;
OR
- A two-year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
