About The Role

This roleassistsin the monitoring and reporting of security incidents related to thecompanycomputer systems and networks. This position plays a key role in the development of processes and procedures that will provide strong security layers for the organization’s systems. This position works with project and department teams toidentifyand resolve PCI, Sarbanes, C-TPAT and other compliance and security issues, and creates,distributesand provides training materials and sessions on IT Security awareness. The Information Security Analyst II protects theorganizationscomputer and communications network from intrusion and compromise. This role requires constant monitoring of network traffic, ongoing security awareness of the entire company, and diligent analysis of the way the organization decides to implementnew technologiesand business processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Analyzeslogs, accountmanagementand other security procedures. Works with other analysts and department management to provide leadership and guidance for the creation and implementation of remediation processes to correct failures in security requirements.

Evaluates changes to PeopleSoft Application Security as required by Campus, State and Federal Regulations. Actively review changes to legislation and regulations such as FERPA, HIPAA, PCI, etc. Make recommendations related to required changes.

Reviews the security and compliance posture of current systems and perform information security assessments or audits of internal networks and systems in cooperation with management. Documents findings in written reports with recommendations for remediation.

Drafts and disseminates securitypolicyto address contemporary security threats and vulnerabilities.

Mentors andtrainsjunior staff, interns, and security liaison with other BU's and IT groups.

  • Minimum Degree Required: ​Bachelor's Degree​in Cyber Security

  • Preferred Degree:Master's Degree in Cyber Security

  • Certificate(s) or License(s) preferred: Security+ Certification

  • Years of experience:4-6

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,AND ABILITY

  • Prior experience in Information Security, compliance, systemadministratoror related fields.

  • Knowledge and experience in the software development process.
  • -
  • Knowledge and/or experience in evaluation of securitysetupto meet business needs.

  • Ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems, alternativesolutions to others.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal,organizationaland time management skills.

  • Desireto learn new tools.
