We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our high-performing team on a dynamic, mission-focused program. This program leverages software engineering, development of web-based applications, and serverless infrastructures (AWS C2S). This position is in Herndon, VA. Responsibilities: Monitor the system’s logs and applications daily, preferably leveraging automationConduct system backups on an interval agreed upon with the CustomerConduct data archiving on an interval agreed upon with the CustomerPerform system hardening of Linux systems according to information security engineering principles and industry best practicesMaintain all servers, including Windows servers, Linux servers, Oracle database servers, Apache servers, DNS servers and Domain controllersApply server patches and operating system updates in a timely fashion as defined by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)Assist the Customer with hardware and software acquisitions and implementationEnsure software licenses are renewed as appropriateObtain Customer waivers as necessarySubmit Discrepancy Reports (DR) and Requests for Change (RFC) through the appropriate Customer channelsWork closely with the ISSM and other customer security elements as required Requirements: 10+ years’ experience in configuration managementBachelor’s degree or higher in the field of computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or other related technical discipline. Experience in all the following either individually or as part of a team: Linux servers, Windows servers, Oracle database servers, DNS servers, Domain controllers, network storage devices and HP serversExperience designing, configuring and installing information systems that include routers, servers, switches, storage systems, and laptopsExperience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows based domainsUS citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance Desired Skills:Experience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle including integration of build pipelines, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven developmentExperience in the deployment, provisioning, operations and maintenance of Linux environments running centos and UbuntuExperience working Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies such as ICD503 to ensure system security and data integrityExperience implementing, developing, and testing automation tools and IT infrastructureExperience managing virtualized infrastructureExperience recommending ways to improve reliability, availability, and maintainability Do you know anyone for this position, or other positions open at The Swift Group?
