Job Description

  • Primary Address: 2363 63rd St, Woodridge, IL (may work in clinics in Bolingbrook and Woodridge as needed)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p or 8:30a-5p
  • Gathers necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information from patients and enters it into the appropriate database.
  • Seeks appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date, or location of prescribed procedures.
  • Schedules patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources.
  • Coordinates and communicates schedules with patients and clinical staff. Assists with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification and authorization.
  • Provides counseling to patients, participants, or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely entry of patient information into the system. Communicates effectively with patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers to facilitate smooth scheduling and authorization processes.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of insurance requirements and pre-certification processes.
  • Addresses and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to patient scheduling and insurance authorization.
  • Supports the clinical team in managing patient flow and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

  • 1+ years of clerical experience in medical office clinic [Preferred]

Pay Range

  • $18.17 - $29.06
