Job Description
Schedule Information
Monday - Friday (variable day shift hours)

Actively participates in scheduled document review processes related to Policy, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Work Instructions, BARE Facts, and educational materials.

Contributes to the maintenance of safety reports, accident and incident investigations, and performance improvement data.

Assists in the coordination of safety activities and drills, including hospital evacuation training, decontamination exercises, and emergency management drills.

Conducts training and safety rounds, coordinates hazardous surveillance rounds, safety site inspections, and other inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Environment of Care regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of safety, occupational health, and fire protection principles, practices, procedures, codes, standards, and regulations.
- Familiarity with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organization (NIAHO) standards.
- Working knowledge of survey processes by organizations such as The Joint Commission (TJC) or Det Norske Veritas (DNV) as they relate to the Physical Environment including the Environment of Care (EOC), Emergency Management (EM), and Life Safety (LS).
- Ability to respond to, take control of, and mitigate critical situations related to safety issues in a calm, professional manner.
- Strong analytical skills, resourceful in problem-solving with the ability to observe and write accurate and error-free reports.

- Associate [Preferred]
Work Experience
- At least 3 years of related work experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) [Preferred]
- Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) [Preferred]

Pay Range
$55,224.00 - $102,731.20
