About The Role

NeoWork is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our client’s accounting team.

The Accountant will manage full-cycle monthly bookkeeping for client accounts, including recording transactions, performing reconciliations, and reviewing balance sheets and P&L statements to identify discrepancies.

This is a remote role that operates within a virtual desktop environment, with QuickBooks Online as the primary accounting platform. The Accountant will work closely with the accounting team under the direction of the Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Manage monthly bookkeeping, from transaction recording through account reconciliations.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Review balance sheets and P&L statements to identify irregularities or inconsistencies.
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
Follow established SOPs and adapt to new processes and workflows.
Communicate accounting issues and discrepancies to the Accounting Manager.
Handle financial and personally identifiable information (PII) responsibly.
Follow basic cybersecurity and data security practices.
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
Proven experience in monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations.
Ability to identify discrepancies and irregularities in balance sheets and P&L statements.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Typing speed of 50+ WPM with proper capitalization and punctuation.
Comfortable working in a remote virtual desktop environment.
Willingness to follow established SOPs and adapt to new processes.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity and responsible handling of PII.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
