Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
- -
- Direct staff in the planning, development, and implementation of day-to-day clinic operations
- -
- Implement administrative policies and procedures
- -
- Make certain that staff are consistently scheduled to effectively perform duties and tasks
- -
- Ensure scheduling staff actively fill appointments to improve access to care
- -
- Be available to staff to answer questions and facilitate solutions
- -
- Support local staff to reduce/remove barriers that negatively impact work functions
- -
- When necessary, provide back-up support for registration and scheduling
- -
- Identify areas of staff development and facilitate training in coordination with regional director
- -
- Address patient and other customer concerns and incorporate feedback into the development of protocols and procedures
- -
- Inform staff of SEARHC strategic plans and champion efforts and objectives to achieve plans
- -
- Engage staff by consistently sharing department, division, and organizational updates.
- -
- Encourage staff to share ideas and participate in solutions to develop team cohesion, responsibility, and connection with SEARHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- -
- Utilize continuous quality improvement tools to address operational issues and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
- -
- Optimize personnel and financial resources, and efficient delivery of health care services within allotted budget
- -
- Maintain fundamental knowledge of clinic electronic health record and practice management systems.
- -
- Participate in accreditation surveys and maintain fundamental knowledge of elements of performance and requirements
- -
- Actively participate and/or lead department meetings
- -
- Collaborate with other SEARHC departments to ensure effective clinic operations, patient flow and regulatory compliance
- -
- Maintain positive working relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- -
- Travel less than 10%
- -
- Other duties as assigned to support the success of the Behavioral Health Division
Supervisory Responsibilities

Additional Details
Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
- -
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- -
- Associate’s degree in health-related or business field.
- -
- Relevant work experience of 2 years in a health field may be substituted for degree.
- -
- At least 2 years of customer service experience.
- -
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- -
- Healthcare leadership training/certification preferred.
Experience Required
- -
- Minimum of 3 years’ healthcare related experience with progressive supervisory and management development.
Knowledge of
- -
- Exceptional customer service skills
- -
- Basic knowledge of clinic practice management including staffing and clinic organization, scheduling, and patient flow
- -
- Knowledge of revenue cycle, facilities management, and other infrastructure areas impacting the clinic
- -
- Basic understanding of CARF, CMS, HIPAA, and/or other accrediting body regulation
- -
- Knowledge of liability and risk management principles
