About The Role
Clean Harbors located in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. The Laboratory Technician will beresponsible for sample preparation, the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties. This is a traditional, white lab coat position that offers no travel.
Shift: Monday-Friday: Day shift- 3:00pm-11:00pm; OT and Saturdays as needed; Will train on a day shift for 4-6 weeks.
Pay: $22/HR with $1.75/HR for shift differential pay

Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety and Compliance protocols;

Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, with the ability to solve minor problems;

Calibrates and utilizes instrumentation;

Maintenance of equipment suggests solutions to problems;

Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion;

Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines;

Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices;

Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.

High school diploma or equivalent required+ 1 year of specialized training required;

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or physical science is preferred;

Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing preferred;

Experience in a laboratory preferred;

Ability to work in a team environment.
