Test Assistant

ABM Industries is seeking Test Assistants to join our Electrical Power Services team in Ontario, CA. The Test Assistant supports the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of electrical power distribution equipment in commercial, industrial, and utility environments. This role performs entry-level to developing technician work under the direction of qualified senior technicians, engineers, or project leads. Certification is not required; however, the role is expected to demonstrate the knowledge, safety awareness, and work practices consistent with a NETA Level I / trainee-level electrical testing technician.

• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures
• Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities
• Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary
• Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed

Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred

• One (1) year of similar work experience
