About The Role

About the Role

This is a high-ownership design leadership role at a fast-growing AI-powered business communication SaaS company serving SMEs across the DACH region and beyond. You will shape product design, brand, and team direction while staying hands-on, working closely with founders and engineering to ship at high velocity with direct customer access.

What You'll Do

  • -
  • Own end-to-end product design, branding, and design-team leadership, splitting your time roughly equally between hands-on craft and team direction.
  • -
  • Lead design across three product areas in continuous collaboration with product and engineering stakeholders.
  • -
  • Conduct regular customer interviews with SME customers such as tradespeople, medical practices, and professional service firms to build deep user understanding.
  • -
  • Define and maintain the design standard across product, web, and brand.
  • -
  • Build and scale design systems to ensure consistent execution across multiple product areas.
  • -
  • Contribute to fast feedback loops with founders and engineers to enable daily releases.
  • -
  • Leverage modern AI tools to accelerate and enhance the design process.

What We're Looking For

  • -
  • At least five years of end-to-end product design experience with ownership across multiple product areas.
  • -
  • Proven expertise in Figma, prototyping, and user research including customer interviews.
  • -
  • Experience leading or mentoring a design team, or a demonstrated readiness to step into that responsibility while remaining hands-on.
  • -
  • Solid background in building and scaling design systems across a multi-product environment.
  • -
  • Experience owning brand and website design alongside core product design.
  • -
  • Analytics-driven mindset: you measure design decisions and iterate based on data.
  • -
  • Familiarity with modern AI tools such as Cursor, v0, or Claude to accelerate design workflows.
  • -
  • Native-level German (essential for the DACH market) and good professional English for an international team.
