Acutronic is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer I who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze production workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement process improvements. The engineer will utilize advanced engineering principles and methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer I will be tasked with creating and maintaining engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and process flows, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Manufacturing Engineer I Your Roles/Responsibilities: Develop manufacturing methods and processes, tooling details, and equipment specifications for current and new programs Develop engineering Bill of Materials and Routings with labor estimates Develop process flow and line balance by breaking down large, complex assemblies into sub-assemblies Create and support of Manufacturing Readiness Review packages prior to first-part builds Develop manufacturing plans and detailed work instructions necessary for hardware fabrication Evaluate alternative processes that improve component properties, reduce costs, and increase efficiency Oversee and contribute to engineering build projects from start to finish, ensuring that the project is executed on-time Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to AS9100 standards Provide ongoing engineering assistance to the Operations department Additional Duties Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of relevant education and work experience will be considered A minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role Proficient in reading and interpreting customer specifications and 2D engineering drawings, with in-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma Experience in creating engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) Proven ability to develop manufacturing process flows, identify tooling solutions, and estimate labor hours across all phases of the manufacturing process We Offer: Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k match Company-paid holidays and Paid Time Off 4/10 schedule About Acutronic: The Acutronic Group has a proud history of building technologies and teams that are crucial to the aerospace, defense, and transportation industries.
