About The Role
The Material Handler Level 4/Material Management Analyst is responsible for coordinating inventory movements, logistics transactions, toll manufacturing activities, and material management processes within SAP. This role serves as a critical liaison between the Orange manufacturing site, Palmer third-party warehouse, Custom Processing, General Polymers, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate inventory control, timely shipment processing, and efficient material flow throughout the supply chain.
The ideal candidate will possess strong SAP experience, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse and Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate product shipments between the Orange manufacturing site and Palmer third-party warehouse.
- Create and process Stock Transport Orders (STOs) in SAP for all product transfers to Palmer.
- Perform Post Goods Issue (PGI) transactions for outbound shipments once trailers depart the Orange facility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely transaction processing.
Toll Manufacturing Support
- Process all feedstock STO shipments to Custom Processing and General Polymers.
- Complete Goods Receipt (GR) transactions for feedstock received by toll manufacturers.
- Issue monthly subcontracting purchase orders to Custom Processing and General Polymers to support production requirements.
- Process SAP production transactions associated with toll manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with Quality Control Laboratory personnel for product testing and release activities.
- Create STOs for completed finished goods shipments from toll manufacturers to Palmer warehouse.
- Execute PGI transactions upon shipment departure.
Vendor and Toller Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Custom Processing and General Polymers regarding material availability, packaging requirements, shipment coordination, and production support.
- Respond to operational inquiries and resolve material-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, and Quality teams to support manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.
Customer Returns Management
- Process customer material returns in SAP.
- Communicate return details to Quality Control and Laboratory personnel for evaluation.
- Move inventory from blocked stock to unrestricted stock when returns result from shipping errors.
- Manage inventory movements to restricted or quality stock when returns are associated with product quality concerns.
Inventory Management and Quality Transactions
- Process damage reporting and inventory adjustments for materials located onsite and at Palmer warehouse.
- Execute SAP transactions to remove damaged inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
- Process material reclassifications based on laboratory and quality requirements.
- Verify inventory movement accuracy through SAP inventory validation processes.
- Coordinate quality inspection inventory movements and batch status changes.
- Support retriggering of quality inspections and movement of materials between unrestricted, quality inspection, and restricted stock statuses.
- Execute manual quality stock transactions as required.
SAP Transaction Processing

Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, inventory control, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated SAP experience with inventory management and warehouse transactions.
- Working knowledge of stock transfers, goods movements, inventory adjustments, and production transactions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting third-party warehouses and toll manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of subcontracting processes within SAP.
- Experience working in manufacturing, chemical, polymer, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with inventory control, quality management, and warehouse operations.

COMPENSATION
The annual base hourly rate for this position is $34.28 to $42.83. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
