Humana is evolving how creative and content work is planned, reviewed, governed, and delivered across the enterprise. As Associate Director, Quality Assurance, you will lead the QA function that helps ensure work produced by both internal and external agencies is accurate, compliant, on brand, and ready for execution.

In a typical day, you may set quality standards, identify quality risks, guide review practices, partner with intake, creative, account, compliance, and operations leaders, and coach team members on standards that strengthen the consistency of our creative output. This includes helping teams reflect a unified tone of voice, uphold brand standards, and deliver work that feels cohesive, accurate, and ready for downstream execution. This role supports better experiences for members, patients, caregivers, and business partners by helping teams get the work right from the start.

TheAssociate Director, Quality Assurance leadsthequalitystrategy,standards,and review practices that improve the accuracy, completeness, and readiness ofmarketing collateral. This rolegovernsquality by ensuringwork produced by internal and external agenciesmeetscompliance, regulatory, accessibility,and brand requirements. TheAssociate Directorpartners across teams toidentifydefects early, reduce rework, strengthen compliance readiness, and improve the experience for stakeholders and delivery teams. Through coaching, reporting, and continuous improvement, this role helps Humana deliver clearer, more effective communications and experiences for the people we serve.

Key Role Functions

Lead quality assurancestrategy and governancefor the Creative and Content team, ensuring work is complete and aligned to predefined standards beforepartnerand legal routing

Establish andscalequality standards, checklists, documentation routines,reporting practices,and escalation paths that reduce defects, rework, and delivery delays

Partner with intake, account, creative, operations, compliance, legal, and businessleaderstoidentifyrisks early and support compliant, on-brand work

Lead and develop a team of proofreaders, setting priorities, coaching for accuracy and consistency, and ensuring work meets quality, brand, compliance, and readiness standards

Monitor quality trends,recurring issues, and risk indicators; translate insights into process improvements, training, and leadership recommendations

Guideteam members andcross-functionalpartners on intake expectations, quality criteria,governance practices, and continuous improvement opportunitiesthat improve speed, clarity, and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, orequivalentprofessional experience
  • -
  • 8+years of professional experience in quality assurance, proofreading, regulated communications,marketing operations, creative operations,ora related field
  • -
  • 2+ years of experience leading associates, managing direct reports, or directing cross-functional quality assurance, creative operations, or regulated communications workstreams
  • -
  • Demonstrated experience creating, scaling,orgoverningquality standards,styleguidance,consistencyguidelines,checklists, and review practices in a complex organization
  • -
  • Experiencepartneringwithsenior stakeholders acrossbusiness, creative, operations, compliance, or legalteamsto resolve issues, manage risk,and improve creative consistency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienceleading quality assurance, proofreading, or regulated communications practicesin health care, health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or another highly regulated industry

  • Experienceimprovingmarketing, creative, content, or agency intake,scoping, routing, and reviewworkflows

  • Working knowledge of compliance, accessibility, brand governance, privacy,approval requirements, and risk controlsfor customer-facing communications
  • -
  • Experience using workflow, project management, reporting, or collaboration tools such as Workfront,Aprimo, or Microsoft 365tomonitorquality trendsand process performance

Periodic in-office work may berequiredto support collaboration, key meetings, and leadership engagement. Remote options will be considered based on role needs and candidate experience

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$126,300 - $173,700 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
