About The Role
Kent is looking for a PTW Coordinator to support the team on a multi-year project across multiple locations, beginning on the North Slope, Alaska.
Skills and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide Permit to Work training to ISCT and Tier 1 contractor personnel, ensuring personnel are competent to perform their assigned PTW responsibilities.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and troubleshooting support to ensure efficient and consistent execution of the Permit to Work process.
- Provide PTW expertise during mechanical completion, static and dynamic commissioning, and facility start-up activities.
- Monitor the preparation, planning, coordination, and execution of Permit to Work activities.
- Liaise and interface with Tier 1 contractors, the Project Management Team, Start-Up, and Operations personnel.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve Permit to Work issues that may affect safe execution or project progress.
- Conduct regular planned audits to verify that:
- Permit processes are diligently and correctly followed by all personnel.
- Field permit requirements, including lockouts, isolations, and gas testing, are correctly implemented.
- Permit holders comply with the procedures and controls imposed by the permits they hold.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification
- University degree and/or technical diploma preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of project completion and operations experience.
- Previous successful Permit to Work experience during mechanical completion, commissioning, operations planning, and start-up.
- In-depth knowledge of project completion standards, specifications, codes, and applicable safety criteria, as well as facility commissioning and start-up operations.
- Strong knowledge of work authorization, work permits, and applicable safety criteria.
- Knowledge of client practices, processes, and expectations for work authorization and work permitting during systems completion, preservation, commissioning, operations readiness, and planning.
Communication
- Excellent command of the English language, with strong oral and written communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and contribute as a team player.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
