The Opportunity

Join a collaborative team delivering meaningful infrastructure projects that improve communities and support sustainable growth. As a Project Coordinator, you'll work alongside experienced project managers, engineers, and technical specialists within our Municipal Engineering, Water Resources, and Construction teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to develop project management expertise while contributing to complex infrastructure projects across planning, design, construction, and delivery phases.

Your Impact

  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to support successful project execution across transportation, municipal infrastructure, land development, and geomatics projects throughout Nova Scotia.
  • Assist Project Managers with planning, monitoring, and reporting on municipal infrastructure, water resources, and construction projects.
  • Prepare project documentation including meeting minutes, progress reports, change logs, and action item tracking.
  • Support client communications and stakeholder coordination while maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Monitor project performance, including budgets, schedules, resource requirements, risks and overall project health, to support successful project delivery.
  • Support project administrative activities in coordination with project controls and accounting teams, including reporting, billing coordination, change management, and procurement support.
  • Support business development and pursuit activities, including coordinating and preparing proposals, client presentations, opportunity tracking, and related documentation.
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of project QA/QC processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate internal reviews and approvals for contracts, proposals, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.
  • Develop your project coordination and management capabilities through mentorship, guidance, and increasing responsibility on impactful projects.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Diploma, degree, or equivalent education and experience in Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting infrastructure, municipal, construction, water resources, or consulting engineering projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and document management principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively with a variety of project managers, professionals, and administrative teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems (such as Oracle), reporting tools (such as Power BI), and project scheduling software (such as Microsoft Project) is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally to project sites as required.

Compensation

  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $51,800 - $68,600
  • MB & ON: $47,200 - $65,000
  • NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $46,800 - $62,100
