About The Role

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a passionate and organized Employee Engagement Specialist. This role supports the development, coordination, and execution of company-wide engagement initiatives and plays a key part in fostering a positive, inclusive culture by creating meaningful connections and delivering programs, initiatives and communications that enhance the employee experience across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate company-wide employee engagement activities and campaigns such as the Annual Employee Photo Contest, Company Picnics, Golf Tournaments, National Safety Month, Holiday Movie Party, Holiday Greeting Cards, Newsletter Reader Contests, Cancer Awareness Campaigns, Mental Health Awareness campaigns, etc.
  • Manage the company’s DNA Awards Program
  • Manage the company’s Service Awards Program
  • Manage the Excellence in Action Employee Recognition program
  • Manage the NGM Company Store
  • Manage event logistics including venue booking, scheduling, vendor coordination, and onsite support for successful execution.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive annual calendar of employee engagement events and campaigns.
  • Coordinate and promote participation in engagement-related programs and events.
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors and third-party partners that support employee engagement efforts.
  • Work closely with site-based employee engagement champions to ensure alignment and consistency of engagement efforts across all locations.
  • Lead the coordination and oversight of In Reach, NGM’s employee engagement and communications program, ensuring alignment with site goals and leadership expectations.
  • Assist in the facilitation of employee engagement and pulse surveys.
  • Analyze and report on engagement metrics and survey results to inform improvements and decision-making.
  • Identify and recommend platforms and opportunities for employees to share experiences and celebrate team and individual achievements.
  • Track and process invoices and payments related to employee engagement activities and communications department expenses.
  • Support the development and distribution of internal and external communications
  • In state travel (20%) to support various employee activities and events across our operations

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in employee engagement, internal communications, human resources, or a similar service-oriented role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Tech-savvy with a strong desire to deliver engaging content and support technology-based initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of creativity and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse employee populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, communicate, and manage events of various sizes.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Familiarity with event registration and survey platforms such as Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Jotform, or similar tools to support engagement tracking and feedback.
