The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production operations within a bread manufacturing facility to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of high-quality products. This role oversees production floor activities several days per week, provides leadership and direction to hourly employees, and drives adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key responsibilities include serving as the site lead for the cycle count inventory process, ensuring inventory accuracy through regular audits and corrective actions, and championing the facility's safety program by promoting a strong safety culture, conducting observations, facilitating training, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor works closely with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals while maintaining compliance with company policies and food safety requirements.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day production floor operations and employee performance.
  • Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved.
  • Coordinate and lead periodic cycle count activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Champion plant safety initiatives and promote a culture of zero injuries.
  • Support employee development, engagement, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Planning teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
  • This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence, inventory control, and workplace safety.

  • 1 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles
