Position Summary
The Florida Atlantic University Medical Group is seeking a Lead Clinical Medical Assistant in Boca Raton, FL.
The Lead Clinical Medical Assistant supports the Clinical Supervisor in overseeing daily clinical operations and serves as a key resource and leader for the Medical Assistant team. This position serves as a role model in demonstrating sound judgement, maintaining professionalism, and supporting the Clinical Supervisor in maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient centered environment.
This position helps ensure patient flow, consistent clinical standards, accuratedocumentation, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Provides day-to-day guidance, training, and support to clinicalstaff while maintaining a strong focus on patient care and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a clinical resource and point of contact for Medical Assistants and clinicalsupport staff.

- Assists the Clinical Supervisor with daily coordination of clinical operations and workflow.

- Monitor patient flow and help identify and resolve operational or clinical workflowissues.

- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Medical Assistants to promoteconsistent performance and adherence to established standards.

- Assist with onboarding, orientation, training, and competency assessment of newclinical staff.

- Support implementation and maintenance of clinical policies, procedures, and bestpractices.
- -
- Help ensure exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and clinical areas are properlymaintained and prepared for patient care.

- Monitor compliance with infection prevention, safety, documentation, andregulatory requirements.

- Assist with staff scheduling, coverage, and workflow assignments as directed by theClinical Supervisor.

- Perform and oversee appropriate clinical duties within the scope of practice of theMedical Assistant role.

- Promote accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- -
- Assist providers and clinical staff with patient care, procedures, and coordination ofservices.
- -
- Identify performance, workflow, or patient-care concerns and communicate thempromptly to the Clinical Supervisor.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical processimprovement projects.
- -
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
- -
- Provide exceptional patient service and model appropriate communication andprofessionalism.
- -
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor orleadership.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience required.
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable within the required timeframe.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced
- clinical environment required.
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care procedures, infection control,
- and medical documentation required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical Medical Assistant experience preferred.
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or lead experience preferred.
Salary
$25.00 Hourly.

Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice.
