About The Role
The Systems Engineer III is a full-time position with Atlantic Health's Information Technology department, serving as a senior technical resource across the endpoint portfolio, which spans mobile device management, Windows endpoint management, thin client endpoints, and single sign-on. The position is responsible for oversight of implementations and support of assigned applications and technologies, and for taking ownership of endpoint systems and issues that fall outside established platform boundaries. The role partners closely with adjacent platform teams, including the Citrix, Networking, Identity, and clinical application teams, and require sufficient working knowledge of those environments to troubleshoot issues that cross into them. The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions

Serves as escalation point for complex issues spanning endpoint, identity, virtualization, and clinical application layers, including systems and integrations without a clear platform owner, coordinating across ISS teams and vendors to resolution.

Administers Windows endpoint management through SCCM and Group Policy, including deployment collections, patching, and compliance reporting.

Administers the enterprise mobile device fleet in Microsoft Intune, including enrollment architecture across single user, shared, and Entra Shared Device Mode models; Apple Business Manager and Android Zero Touch enrollment; configuration and compliance profiles; OS and application update management; and mobile application management.

Owns thin client endpoint management, including IGEL OS profile templates, organizational unit assignment, and firmware lifecycle, and partners with the Citrix team on virtual desktop delivery to those endpoints. Contributes to evaluation of alternative thin client and virtual desktop platforms.

Partners with clinical, business, and application teams, including Epic analysts, on mobile application configuration, operating system compatibility, and device workflow design.

Independently evaluates and implements unfamiliar platforms and new system functionality, recommends prioritization and implementation strategies, and becomes the internal technical reference for those systems.

Builds and maintains reporting on device inventory, application deployment, and endpoint compliance for team and leadership consumption.

Serves as primary technical representative on small to medium sized projects including vendor coordination, documents supported configurations and workflows, and mentors new team members.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements
Education

- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or equivalent experience. High School Diploma or GED required
Experience

Minimum 5 years work experience within IT, including hands-on endpoint or systems administration

Experience with Windows endpoint management and enterprise directory services (Active Directory and/or Entra ID); experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM / Intune preferred

Experience administering an enterprise mobile device management or unified endpoint management platform; Microsoft Intune preferred, comparable enterprise MDM/UEM platform acceptable

Working knowledge of thin client and virtual desktop infrastructure concepts and deployment models, sufficient to troubleshoot endpoint issues in a virtualized environment; hands-on experience with IGEL OS or a comparable thin client management platform preferred

Working knowledge of core IT infrastructure concepts including DNS, Networking, Server Virtualization

Experience with application build, configuration, and deployment

Demonstrated ability to independently learn, take ownership of, and become the internal technical reference for unfamiliar platforms

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues spanning multiple systems, platforms, and vendors, and to gather information from multiple sources, analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an efficient workflow

Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership and change management skills, including the ability to work directly with end users to translate operational requirements into system design

Experience with an enterprise single sign-on platform preferred; Imprivata OneSign experience is a strong plus, including application profiling, Type 1 and Type 2 workflows, user and computer policy administration, support of shared and clinical workstation models, and mobile single sign-on through Imprivata Ground Control or comparable

Working understanding of Citrix or a comparable virtual desktop platform preferred, including how it interacts with an enterprise single sign-on layer through virtual channel connectors and access policies

Experience supporting Epic or comparable clinical applications in a healthcare or other regulated environment preferred, including integration components such as the Epic connector and fast user switching

Scripting and automation experience preferred, such as PowerShell or Microsoft Graph API

Familiarity with enterprise AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot or Claude Code, and openness to applying them to engineering and support workflows within organizational governance and data handling standards
