Water Operator Level A

Primary Purpose

Understands most of the overall operations; should be able to rebuild all equipment. A Water Operator Level A possesses a Water Operator license and 3 endorsements. Endorsements required for Millsboro include Distribution, Disinfection, Chemical Feed and Filtration. Will have at least 3 - 5 years of acceptable operating experience.Day shift operator, Sunday -Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Operation of the water treatment system.
• Assists with compliance documentation and recordkeeping.
• Maintenance of water equipment and wells.
• Adheres to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, lockout-tagout procedures and process safety management related matters.
• Performs process control lab work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Water Operator license with 3 endorsements.
• 3 – 5 years of acceptable operating experience.
• DE: Recertify every 2 years with completion of 20 hours of approved training within that timeframe.
• NC: Recertify annually with completion of 6 hours of commission-approved continuing education.
