Purpose

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of a broad product portfolio within Medline's Sales department. You will operate in the South eastern Netherlands, covering relevant cities/provinces. Your focus will be on maintaining strong relationships with existing customers while also expanding our client base in the region. You will engage regularly with hospital procurement professionals and will be capable of negotiating and closing both standard agreements and framework contracts. Additionally, you will participate in product presentations, provide product education, and represent Medline at conferences, exhibitions, and tenders.

Activities & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales results across the full product portfolio;

  • Achieve territory growth by building and maintaining strong customer relationships and implementing Medline's sales strategy;

  • Promote cross-selling and introduce new products as they become available;
  • -
  • Communicate with existing and prospective customers regarding product updates, portfolio changes, and customized solutions;

  • Negotiate and finalize agreements and framework contracts;
  • -
  • Represent Medline at industry events such as congresses, trade shows, and tenders;
  • -
  • Deliver product presentations and support clinical evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Sales team;
  • -
  • Participate in training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and business applications;
  • -
  • Gather market intelligence and stay up to date on industry, customer, and competitor trends;
  • -
  • Conduct regular customer visits – this is a field-based role with approximately 80% travel.
  • Are you a match?
  • -
  • Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in medical devices or disposables, with a proven track record of commercial success;
  • -
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred;
  • -
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken (mandatory);
  • -
  • An existing network within hospitals is a plus;
  • -
  • Bachelor's degree (HBO) and/or experience in a clinical environment is an advantage;
  • -
  • Solid understanding of the Dutch healthcare system and its dynamics;
  • -
  • Possession of a valid driving license (B);
  • -
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • -
  • Results-driven, with a proactive and independent work style;
  • -
  • Strong negotiation and follow-up skills;
  • -
  • Ability to effectively influence stakeholders at various levels;
  • -
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical;
  • -
  • Skilled in multitasking and meeting deadlines;
  • -
  • Resident of the Netherlands.
