About the Role

Roster: Week On / Week Off

As a Bus Driver, you will play an important role in supporting our clients to remain connected, active, and engaged within their community. Through safe, reliable, and compassionate transport services, you will ensure clients can access leisure and lifestyle activities while experiencing dignity, respect, and personalised support at every stage of their journey.

Provide safe and reliable transport for residents to and from outings and appointments.

Assist with the safe boarding, securing, and unloading of passengers, including those using wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Drive and operate the bus in a safe, lawful, and courteous manner, conducting daily vehicle safety checks.

Maintain the bus in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition, including refuelling and coordinating servicing and maintenance.

Maintain accurate vehicle records, logbooks, inspections, and registration requirements.

Support the Leisure and Lifestyle team during outings and activities, maintaining a client-centred approach at all times.

About You

  • -
  • Previous experience driving a light mini bus, managing all facets of the bus and transporting clients.
  • -
  • An appreciation of the issues faced by the aged and people with a disability.
  • -
  • Sound knowledge of the Brisbane area and its surrounds.
  • -
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to provide a warm, calm and safe environment.
  • -
  • Organisational skills for planning outings and excursions.
  • -
  • Experience working with people with a disability and the aged will be viewed favourably

What makes a difference for us

  • Current D Class – Light Rigid Drivers Licence and current First Aid certificate.
  • -
  • Current QLD Transport Driver’s Authorisation (General Services).
  • -
  • Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Limited Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
  • -
  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
