About The Role

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. As a Plant Services Coordinator, you’ll support daily plant operations and human resources activities, from onboarding and payroll coordination to employee communications and training. Your organization and attention to detail will help keep the plant running smoothly and create a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate plant administrative activities, including invoices, office supplies, uniforms, employee communications, and recognition programs.
  • Support hourly recruiting by coordinating application screening, interviews, pre-employment requirements, and temporary staffing.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, employee records, and access to supplies and equipment.
  • Support payroll and timekeeping, benefits enrollment, employee changes, and HR programs while maintaining confidential records.
  • Coordinate employee training and track completion of required orientation and job-specific training.
  • Maintain BMS documents and distribution points, support internal audits, and assist with assigned BMS administration.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates on staffing, attendance, training, and other plant administrative activities.
  • Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Specific Details

  • Base hourly pay rate between $21.00 and $25.00 p/hr, based on experience.
  • Additional premium shift differential: $1.00 p/hr for 2nd shift and $2.00 p/hr for 3rd shift, if applicable.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration may substitute for the experience requirement.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative or human resources experience, unless qualifying through the bachelor’s degree above.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and payroll/timekeeping systems preferred.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with tact and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
