Project / Engagement Director

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project / Engagement Director to lead and oversee large-scale government and public sector IT/infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring successful project delivery, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• \* Provide strategic direction and leadership for complex IT and infrastructure projects.
• \* Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
• \* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
• \* Lead cross-functional teams, including project managers, technical experts, consultants, and vendors.
• \* Develop project governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
• \* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
• \* Drive digital transformation initiatives and promote the adoption of innovative technologies.
• \* Monitor project financials, resource utilization, and overall project performance.
• \* Prepare executive-level reports, project status updates, and presentations for senior leadership.
• \* Resolve critical project issues and escalate risks appropriately to ensure business continuity.
• \* Mentor and coach project leadership teams to build organizational capability.

Required Qualifications

\* B.E./B.Tech with an MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Management from an AICTE/NAAC-recognized institution or a reputed Indian or global university.

Preferred Qualifications

\* PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification.
\* Experience with government e-Governance, Smart City, transportation, or infrastructure modernization projects.
\* Knowledge of PMIS, BIM, GIS, and enterprise project management tool
## Requirements

Experience

• \* Minimum 15 years of experience in IT and/or infrastructure projects.
• \* At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale government or public sector technology engagements.
• \* Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and large project portfolios.
• \* Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, project governance, and strategic planning.
