The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Construction Supervisor”, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Pastefill Project Manager of the Capital Projects department in Skouries.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong and continuous field presence and ensure works are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved documentation.
- Anticipate construction risks and proactively mitigate issues before they affect schedule, cost, quality or safety.
- Lead daily contractor coordination, ensuring clear priorities, targets and accountability for execution.
- Monitor contractor productivity and construction KPIs covering progress, productivity, quality and safety; identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor daily and weekly progress against the construction schedule and identify risks to critical-path activities early.
- Drive recovery plans when delays are identified and ensure the 2-week look-ahead plan is realistic and actionable.
- Align field execution with engineering and procurement deliverables and constraints.
- Resolve field issues pragmatically where technically appropriate, escalating to engineering when validation is required.
- Ensure site-driven changes are properly documented and communicated.
- Ensure compliance with IFC drawings and technical specifications and coordinate with Quality for inspections and hold points.
- Prevent rework through early identification of execution errors and disciplined compliance with project standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, lead by example and ensure contractors maintain high HSE performance.
Requirements
- University degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited program.
- Demonstrated site-based construction management experience with strong contractor coordination and field execution capability.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role including supervising complex infrastructure works.
- Experience in site construction management and contractor coordination.
- Experience in schedule, progress and 2-week look-ahead planning.
- Familiarity with construction KPIs and risk anticipation.
- Field problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to ensure compliance with IFC drawings and specifications.
- Coordination of quality inspections.
- Clear communication skills and a strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Driving License.
