The Job

A Kitchen Porter supports the kitchen team by keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently. The role involves washing dishes and equipment, cleaning work areas, assisting chefs with basic food preparation, and following food hygiene and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, andkitchen equipment.

Keep kitchen areas, floors, sinks, andstorage areas cleanand tidy.

Assist chefs withbasic food preparationwhen required.

-

Dispose of rubbishand maintaincorrect waste separation.

-

Receive, move, andstore deliveries safely.

-

Ensure cleaningmaterials and kitchensupplies are adequatelystocked.

-

Follow food hygiene, health & safety, andcleaning procedures.

-

Supportchefs and otherkitchen staff duringbusy service periods.

-

Carry out regularcleaning tasks anddeep-cleaning duties.

-

Maintain a cleanand organised workingenvironment.

What we are looking for

Previous kitchenor hospitality experienceispreferred but notessential.

Good understanding ofcleanliness and foodhygiene.

Ability to workefficiently in abusy kitchen environment.

-

Good teamwork andcommunication skills.

-

Reliable, punctual, andhardworking.

Physically able tostand for longperiods and carryout manual tasks.

-

Willingness to followinstructions and learnnew tasks.

-

Ability to workflexible hours, includingevenings, weekends, andholidays where required.

A positive attitudeand strong attentionto detail.
