About The Role

Job Description & Summary

We’re a team that transforms vision into tech-enabled reality. We look for those who see technology not just as tools or platforms, but as the invisible infrastructure behind strategy, performance, and growth. We turn bold ideas into scalable, secure, and human-centered solutions.

SHAPING TOMORROW

Make a real impact, today, and tomorrow, through work that matters. Here, you will tackle today’s toughest challenges with a future-focused mindset; so our clients turn to us first when it matters most.

Make a real impact

In this dynamic environment, we are looking for a technically accomplished and hands-on Technical Operations Manager to join our Tech & Data team in Athens.

You will lead the technical operation and production support of business-critical applications, integrations and infrastructure. This role requires someone who can understand how systems work end to end, investigate complex incidents, challenge technical teams constructively and guide the support team toward effective, sustainable solutions.

Although you will manage people and operational priorities, this is not a purely service-management position. You will remain close to the technology, acting as a senior technical escalation point and contributing directly to troubleshooting, architecture discussions, operational readiness and platform improvement.

-

Take technical ownership of the stability, availability and operational performance of business-critical applications and platforms

-

Act as the senior escalation point for complex production incidents across applications, integrations, databases, cloud services and infrastructure

-

Lead hands-on technical investigations using logs, monitoring data, SQL queries, API tools and system diagnostics

-

Coordinate root-cause analysis and drive permanent technical fixes rather than temporary workarounds

-

Understand application architecture and dependencies across front-end, back-end, database, integration and infrastructure layers

-

Troubleshoot API, authentication, connectivity and system-to-system integration issues

-

Work closely with software engineers, DevOps, infrastructure, security and architecture teams to resolve complex problems

-

Assess the operational readiness, supportability and resilience of new solutions before production release

-

Review monitoring coverage, alerting logic, dashboards and technical support procedures

-

Identify opportunities for automation using scripting, tooling and workflow improvements

-

Contribute to infrastructure, cloud, identity, security and deployment discussions where these affect production operations

-

Lead and develop the Applications TechnicalSupport team, strengthening its technical troubleshooting capabilities

-

Manage major incidents and communicate their technical impact, resolution path and associated risks clearly

-

Monitor SLAs and operational KPIs as indicators of technical performance, not as the primary focus of the role

What you bring matters

Required qualifications

-

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or another relevant technical discipline

-

At least seven years of experience across technical operations, application support, systems engineering, infrastructure, DevOps or production support

-

Previous experience leading a technical support, infrastructure or operations team

-

Strong hands-on understanding of Windows and/or Linux server environments

-

Good understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure or AWS

-

Solid knowledge of application architecture, databases, APIs and enterprise integrations

-

Practical SQL skills for troubleshooting, data validation and investigation

-

Experience analysing application logs and using monitoring or observability platforms

-

Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting REST APIs using Postman, Bruno or equivalent tools

-

Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, proxies, load balancers and SSL/TLS

-

Experience with identity and access technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP, SSO or OAuth/OpenID

-

Experience diagnosing complex production incidents across multiple technology layers

-

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes and production-release practices

-

Ability to translate technical findings into clear decisions and communications for business and senior stakeholders

-

Strong technical curiosity and willingness to remain involved in complex investigations

Preferred qualifications

  • -
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container technologies
  • -
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or configuration-management tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • -
  • Scripting or programming experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell or a similar language
  • -
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Application Insights or comparable platforms
  • -
  • Understanding of web servers and reverse proxies such as IIS, Nginx, Apache or HAProxy
  • -
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar control frameworks
  • -
  • Experience supporting high-availability or 24/7 production environments
  • -
  • Relevant technical certifications in cloud, networking, infrastructure or security
