We are expanding our team and are seeking a Team Lead GenAI Platform for our headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. In this role you will own the KION GenAI Platform and its related applications and API services while leading a dedicated team.

Tasks and Qualifications

Your responsibilities

• -
• Overall responsibility for the KION GenAI Platform and its strategic roadmap, including budget planning.
• -
• Ensure a scalable, secure and cost‑efficient service operation using cloud‑native services.
• -
• Lead delivery of GenAI use cases from requirements gathering and service provisioning to implementation support and operation.
• -
• Ensure reliable platform operations, monitor performance and maintain Service Level Agreement compliance.
• -
• Drive continuous improvement of development, deployment and monitoring processes (DevOps / LLMOps / AgentOps).
• -
• Ensure secure operation of GenAI services (access control, logging, monitoring and incident management).
• -
• Implement and support global KION AI use cases in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• -
• Lead, coach and support the professional development of the global team of AI Engineers and platform experts.

What we are looking for

• -
• Master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering
• -
• Proven experience (7+ years) in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI-related architecture/technology projects, preferably within a large enterprise environment
• -
• Profound understanding of current AI technologies (ML models, LLMs, vector databases, RAG methods, modern frameworks)
• -
• Experience in IT governance, product management, or AI-related application ownership
• -
• Strong understanding of AI/GenAI lifecycle, enterprise software processes, and governance best practices
• -
• Knowledge about AI project management, delivery, or technological evaluation as well as agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• -
• Experience in creating solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• -
• Structured, independent, and analytical way of working, as well as a high willingness to learn
• -
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• -
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges
• -
• Experience in managing and mentoring technical teams
• -
• Very good knowledge of English, German is a plus.
