An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Branch Manager to lead our Dublin Freight Forwarding operation. Reporting to the VP Freight Forwarding, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance and continued development of the branch, ensuring the effective delivery of air, ocean and road freight forwarding services while driving sustainable business growth.

We are looking for a strong, hands-on leader with a solid freight forwarding operational background and a proven ability to grow revenue, profitability and customer share. The successful candidate will combine operational excellence with commercial awareness, taking ownership of branch performance, identifying growth opportunities, building strong customer relationships and developing a high-performing team. This role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, working collaboratively across Operations, Sales and the wider DP World network to achieve both short and long-term business objectives.

How You Will Contribute

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Dublin freight forwarding branch, ensuring high standards of customer service, operational performance and team effectiveness.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the operational team, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and customers receive an exceptional service experience.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, service quality and overall branch performance.
• Work collaboratively with the commercial team to identify opportunities for business growth, strengthen customer relationships and support revenue generation initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategies that support branch growth, profitability and long-term success.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring service expectations and operational requirements are consistently achieved.
• Monitor branch performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Support the development of a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, training and succession planning activities.
• Promote a collaborative, engaged and positive working environment that encourages accountability and teamwork.
• Ensure workloads are effectively managed and resources are aligned to operational demands and customer requirements.
• Support the resolution of customer issues and service challenges, ensuring timely and professional outcomes.
• Establish and maintain operational best practices, leveraging systems and processes to improve performance and consistency across the branch.
• Work closely with the wider DP World network to deliver integrated solutions and support strategic business objectives.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

About You

Qualifications

• GCSE level education or above.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years' recent experience within Freight Forwarding Operations and Customer Service.
• Strong background in freight forwarding across air, ocean and/or road freight services.
• Proven experience leading operational teams within a freight forwarding environment.
• Experience driving operational improvement and supporting business growth initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Previous experience with branch, departmental or operational leadership responsibilities is highly desirable.
• Freight forwarding industry experience is essential.
