Manager, Patient Registration/Admissions - Patient Registration - Days - FT

Manages the Patient Registration Department including Patient Access Representatives, Team Leaders, Room Control Representatives and Financial Counselors. Evaluates the work method and process for maximum efficiency and effectively coordinates activities with other department managerial staff. Responsible for the department budget, personnel, and staffing of the department and the physical maintenance of equipment and the department area.

• Performs duties while in compliance with all laws, regulations, and guidelines governing all healthcare programs, including federal and otherwise
• Provides essential management functions to assure effective day to day operations .
• Facilities the development and implementation of team processes
• Mentors staff through performance feedback processes
• Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, clinical/quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction

Education

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or 5 years of hospital experience in a supervisory and/or training role directly engaged in the hospital registration process

Experience

• 5 years working in a hospital or other healthcare setting in the areas of admissions and/or billing, with an emphasis on payer compliance and customer service experience and knowledge of HIPAA and EMTALA compliance
