Operational Technology Infrastructure Engineer/Consultant

About the Role:
- Design, build and configure VMware environments.
- Build and configure physical and virtual server environments.
- Support Windows and Linux-based infrastructure platforms.
- Support the hosting and deployment of OT and industrial applications.
- Support application installation, configuration, integration and infrastructure readiness.
- Undertake system, application and infrastructure testing and validation prior to deployment.
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and production go-live activities.
- Support infrastructure migrations, upgrades and refresh programmes.
- Configure Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and supporting infrastructure services.
- Implement resilient, highly available infrastructure for critical OT systems.
- Support storage, backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
- Undertake infrastructure health checks, troubleshooting and performance analysis.
- Support server hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Produce HLDs, LLDs, build guides, test plans, validation evidence and as-built documentation.
- Work alongside OT, cyber security, network, application and engineering teams.
- Provide technical consultancy and guidance to customers.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware.
- Strong experience with Windows Server build, configuration and administration.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or equivalent Linux platforms.
- Experience with physical and virtual server deployment.
- Experience supporting application hosting and application infrastructure.
- Experience with system testing, validation and acceptance activities.
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
- High availability, clustering and infrastructure resilience.
- Enterprise server hardware including Dell, HPE or equivalent.
- SAN, NAS and enterprise storage technologies.
- Backup and disaster recovery technologies
- Good understanding of networking, VLANs, firewalls and segmentation.
- Server hardening, patching and lifecycle management.
- Experience producing technical infrastructure and test documentation.
- Experience within OT, industrial, energy, utilities or CNI environments would be highly desirable.
- Knowledge of IEC 62443, NCSC CAF or OT cyber security principles would be advantageous.
