Job Scope

The ManufacturingAssociateperforms all functions associated with manufacturing operations. This includesoperating process machines and auxiliary equipment,troubleshooting,andmaintainingthe machine. The manufacturing associate is also expected tocollaborate with colleagues andengineers ontasks including (but not restricted to):set-up,calibration, rework, material handling,samplingand experiments. This role requirestechnical understanding ofthe manufacturingprocess and uses customprograms tosupportthecollectionofoperating data to make real-time adjustments toprocesses,instrumentsor equipment. Themanufacturingassociatewillassistindeveloping methods and procedures to control ormodifythe manufacturing processand improve shop floor management.

• Assure safe conditions throughdefinedprocedures(including Lockout tag out– LOTO)during equipment repairs, cleaning,or inspections.
• -
• Work under the defined shift model to ensure customer demand is met in the assigned production time.Working full-time on the shop floor, supportingoperation.
• -
• Operatetheprocessmachines andmaterial handling equipmentused in production, following implemented work instructions, standard operating procedures, and guidelines.
• -
• Perform troubleshooting, autonomous maintenance, cleaningactivitiesand pre-start up inspections/safety checks on production and material handling equipment and fixtures.
• -
• Supportthe review and optimization of work instructions and process documentation.
• -
• Train andvalidatethecompetenceofnewmanufacturing associates.
• -
• Assistwith the distribution and handling/re-stockingof PPE andshop floor consumables.
• -
• Handleproductionwaste.
• -
• Reportcurrent condition, statusand alsodeviations inmachine function, areacleanlinessor personnel behavior to shift leader.

• Contribute tomaintaininghigh5Sstandardswithin the process areas and general factory areas.
• -
• Follow all currently implemented work instructions and standard operating procedures for cleaning, material handling, waste handling, and PPE use.

• Maintainaccuraterecords and documentation related to themachine,product,and process.
• -
• Work proactively with thesupport functions (Manufacturing technicians, quality,logistics,etc).
• -
• Complete supplementary tasks asseenfit by management to effectivelyutilizetime andresourcesfor the benefit of the business.

Requirements

Educational backgroundandpreviousexperiencerequiredfor the role

Qualifications and Experience

-

High school education or a relevant education (e.g., industrial program at a gymnasium level, automation operator/technician education, process operator/technician education) is a plus.

-

1 yearpreviousexperience from the manufacturing or processing industry (e.g., battery, pulp and paper, food, chemicals, microelectronics, oil & gas, pharmaceutical processing).

-

Experience with some of the following isadvantageous: permit procedures, Lock Out Tag Out, near-miss reporting, safety audits, maintenance audits, process control systems, and daily follow-up on safety actions.

Understandinghow toutilizeequipment to run efficient manufacturing withenergyand costingoptimization.

-

Experience withproduction processes including mechanical, electrical,pneumaticand hydraulic components.

Specific skills& Knowledge

-

Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or other sample tracking software is a plus.

Excellent English skills, both written and oral, are essential. Basic Swedish and other language skills are a plus. You should havegood communicationskills and be able to work in close collaboration with colleagues from many different teams.

High work ethic, critical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills area must.

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor in physically demanding environments. This can include 100% working hours allocation into clean-rooms and dry-rooms, while wearing appropriate PPE. The role also requires working shifts and working in multiple process areas, according to business needs.This role requires working full-time on the shop floor, supporting operation.

A genuine technical interest and curiosity about working within production is highly valued. A good understanding of machines and equipment such as pipes, pumps, and valves is a plus.
