Job Description

STRATEGY /Supports the planning and execution of influencer marketing campaigns for our clients, with a focus on talentdiscovery,social media trends, and social listening.

***Our headquarters is located in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a preference for working in one of our office locations -- Stamford, CT, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Octagon, the world’s premier global sports marketing agency, is seeking a Strategist, Influencer Marketing to join its digital strategy practice. In this role,you'llsupport our influencer team by executing influencer &creator partnership strategies,social content programs,talent discovery, campaign management, and measurement for our brand clients.You willconnect brandsand creators,developingcreator-led campaigns and talent recommendations that alignwith sports partnerships and properties.

THE WORK YOU'LL DO

  • -
  • Assistwith influencer campaign execution,includingidentifyingsocial trends,evaluatingplatformopportunities, andsupportingtalentdiscovery.

  • Own day-to-day campaign intelligence, includingKPItracking,audience &demographic analysis, real-timeperformancereporting, and social listening.

  • Lead talent discovery andsupport talent engagement, including outreach,contractingcoordination, andcampaignreporting.

  • Help develop influencer creative briefs and strategies – building campaigns that are authentic and on-trend with the platforms and communities in which they live.

  • Compile and build campaign wrap reports inclusive of quantitative andqualitativemeasurement.

  • Simultaneously work on multiple projects relying on strong project management and organizational skills – frominitialstrategy through final wrap-up.

  • Develop social and digital ideas, activelyparticipatingin strategic digital brainstorms.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1-3 years of proven experience in influencer marketing.

-

Passion for andexpertisein sports, entertainment, music, and/or celebrity & pop culture as well as a pulse of what’s trending in social & digital content – what’s resonating with fans, what platforms are growing, what content matters to fans.

Experience workingwith talent,including content creators,creator partnerships,athletes, and celebrities.

-

Self-startermentality with the resourcefulness and initiative to support the day-to-daylogisticsof planning, implementing, & reporting on social and influencer programs.

Strong understanding ofsocialmedia mechanics and best practices across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X.

-

Curiosityabout how data and analytics tools are used across social media, with abelief thatdata is a primary driver of successful marketing campaigns.

Experience with digital analytics and social tools – examples includeCreatorIQ,Infegy, andBrandwatch.

Organized and active contributorwith strong attention to detail andfollow-through.

-

Strong project management skills, including the ability tobuild & monitor trackers, organize client deliverables,and coordinate talent-related administrative requirements.

Proficiencyin Microsoft Office – specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Baseball and golf knowledge preferred.

Flexibility and willingness to travel. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)

The base range for this position is $50,000 – 52,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
