About The Role
Job Summary
Performs coordination of tax department production, administrative support functions on behalf of the tax departments’ staff and maintains own job-related responsibilities. Performs activities under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates all Tax Department production (populating budget hours and due dates, monitoring tax jobs, following up with preparers and managers, coordinating with other departments for staff availability, generating production reports).
Participates in tax department work flow procedures (tax returns processing and assembly, e-files, scanning and uploading documents to document management system, routings, rejections, reports and deadlines).
Identifies, corrects and maintains issues and workflows.
Coordinates tax organizers and related supply preparations; create, mail, process, scan, validate and link to tax returns.
Manages consulting Statement of Works and budgets.
Prepares, transcribes and types letters and memos as needed.
Prepares assigned tax returns and reports.
Sorts, delivers and handles incoming and outgoing mail and email.
Copies and scans documents as needed.
Maintains supplies and equipment (printers).
Assists with meetings set-up and clean-up.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
A two year University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred or Semi qualified CA/CWA.
Experience
3-4 years of relevant experience required.
- Perform TDS/TCS compliance (including monthly health check activities to ensure correct discharge of liability, support in return filings, resolving supplier queries, reconciliations)
- Manage end-to-end direct tax compliances including advance tax, tax audit, filing of income tax return, various statutory forms (including Form 146/147) etc.
- Prepare and review corporate tax computations, deferred tax workings, and tax provisions for financial reporting.
- Assist in completing income tax assessments, reassessments, appeals, and notices from tax authorities. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants for tax compliance and litigation matters.
- Assistance in preparation submissions, reconciliations, and supporting documents required during tax audits and departmental proceedings.Maintain tax compliance trackers and ensure timely closure of all tax-related deliverables and assessments.
- Coordinate administrative activities of the tax function including invoice processing, consultant engagement management, PO tracking, budget monitoring, document retention, scheduling review meetings, and tracking departmental deliverables and deadlines.
Candidate shall have the hands on experience on the TDS related work. Working in the oracle accounting system would be added advantage
Entry-level direct tax professional with knowledge of income tax compliance, return filing, tax assessments, and tax research. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in building a career in direct taxation.
