Associate Director/Senior Associate, Rating Advisory, Debt

About The Role

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Manage rating advisory projects, including first-time rating mandates and ongoing rating maintenance assignments.
Coordinate project execution and timelines to ensure smooth delivery of rating-related work.
Serve as a key point of contact between clients and rating agencies throughout the rating process.
Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, clients and external rating agencies to facilitate transaction progress.
Prepare rating advisory materials, including rating agency presentations and supporting documentation.
Build and maintain financial forecast models to support credit analysis and rating advisory work.
Assist in the preparation of pitching materials, providing relevant analysis to support the team in securing GDF mandates.
Conduct indicative rating analysis and provide credit opinions and rating advice to clients and internal stakeholders, while delivering high-quality work on a timely basis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, rating advisory, debt capital markets or related fields.
Prior experience at one of the three major rating agencies — S&P, Moody’s or Fitch — is required.
Strong credit analysis and financial modelling capabilities, with the ability to assess issuer fundamentals and support rating advisory work.
Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, rating agencies and internal teams.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under time pressure.
