Summary

The Operator at Cognex Corporation is responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of manufacturing equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality products according to specifications and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to assembly machines, and packaging lines.
• Perform receiving for the incoming shipment, put away and picking.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
• Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce components and assemblies.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and document results, identifying and reporting any deviations or defects.
• Load and unload materials and finished products, ensuring proper material handling and inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and 5S principles.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in simple English.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
