Security Supervisor - NoMad Singapore

About The Role
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Security team, ensuring all security procedures, patrols, and life-safety standards are properly executed and maintained. This role supervises Security Officers and Guards during assigned shifts, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and hotel assets.
The Security Supervisor plays a critical role in enforcing hotel security standards, responding to incidents, supporting emergency procedures, and maintaining compliance with all safety and operational protocols.
SECURITY OPERATIONS & SHIFT SUPERVISION
- Supervise security operations during assigned shifts, ensuring patrol routes and frequencies are consistently followed.
- Monitor and maintain a safe environment for guests, visitors, and team members.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel premises to ensure security procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure perimeter patrols at entry and exit points are carried out to prevent unauthorized access or loitering.
- Oversee daily deployment, shift scheduling, and attendance of Security Officers and Guards.
SAFETY, FIRE & LIFE-SAFETY COMPLIANCE
- Ensure familiarity with hotel fire safety systems, evacuation routes, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct routine checks on fire equipment and ensure fire exits remain accessible and unobstructed.
- Ensure compliance with life-safety standards, including sprinkler clearance and proper storage practices.
- Maintain readiness in first aid and fire emergency response procedures.
- Report maintenance and safety issues promptly to Engineering or relevant departments.
TEAM MEMBER SECURITY & ASSET CONTROL
- Conduct random bag inspections of team members entering and exiting the premises where required.
- Ensure strict adherence to asset removal policies to prevent unauthorized removal of hotel property.
- Arrange escort services for team members transporting cash or valuables when necessary.
- Supervise and reinforce security discipline, conduct, and procedural compliance among team members.
INCIDENT MANAGEMENT & GUEST SUPPORT
- Respond to and manage security incidents and guest-related concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints related to safety and security matters.
- Ensure all incidents are properly documented and escalated according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with guests while upholding professionalism and discretion.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & TRAINING
- Supervise, guide, and support Security Officers in their daily duties and performance standards.
- Ensure team members are familiar with departmental procedures, security knowledge, and emergency protocols.
- Conduct ongoing performance checks, training reinforcement, and operational briefings.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility within the security team.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS & WORKPLACE CONDUCT
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation in line with hotel grooming and professionalism standards.
- Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and readiness of the security work area.
- Foster positive working relationships and effective communication across all departments.
- Demonstrate integrity, alertness, and professionalism at all times.
EXPECTATIONS
The Security Supervisor is expected to
- Demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to manage shift operations effectively.
- Maintain high vigilance and attention to detail in all aspects of security operations.
- Respond calmly and decisively in emergency or high-pressure situations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
- Uphold strict compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures.

- Consistently represent the NoMad standards of professionalism and care.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory security role, preferably within hospitality or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of hotel security operations, life-safety systems, and fire safety procedures.
- Proven leadership and team supervision experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency and high-pressure situations.
- Basic literacy in English (written and spoken) to meet operational needs.
- Detail-oriented with strong situational awareness and judgement.
- Physically fit and able to perform security patrol duties.
